Accreditation Process

Applicant Statusduring-the-accreditation-process
Applicant Status indicates that an institution has achieved initial recognition and is progressing toward accreditation. Within ninety (90) days of receipt of application for accreditation, the International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE) will review applicant documentation for full accreditation. The granting or continuation of applicant status does not assure that accreditation will eventually be attained.

Full Accreditation Status
Full accreditation is for an indefinite period but renewable annually. At the end of each year a renewal fee is due along with a statement regarding any change as to curriculum, financial change or status of the post secondary institution.

  1. The applicant postsecondary institution completes the order form for the application.
  2. The International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE) will send the application for accreditation and booklet to the institution within seven (7) days of receipt of payment.
  3. The applicant postsecondary institution then completes the application for accreditation and returns it to the International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE).
  4. The International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE) reviews the application and documentation.
  5. The International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE) uses any obtainable methods to verify the accuracy of the information submitted.
  6. The assessment is performed and includes a review and examination of documentation and records submitted.
  7. Should there be any deficiencies, the applicant postsecondary institution may respond with a written corrective action response.
  8. The corrective action is reviewed by the International Accreditation of Sport Education (IASE) and the outcome is communicated to the applicant postsecondary institution.
  9. Accreditation is granted when all concerns are resolved, and all fees are paid in full.
